    Position Summary

     

    We are seeking an experienced Sales Tax Senior Staff responsible for assisting in the development an Atlanta sales tax practice.  This role, based in Atlanta, would provide consulting and technical review on all aspects of sales / use tax matters, as well as coordinating tax opportunities and managing projects on a national basis.  Other responsibilities include:

     

    • Recruit, supervise, manage, develop, coach and mentor Sales Tax professionals within the Atlanta based SALT team.
    • Client relationship management including direct responsibility for specific clients and engagements.
    • Identify sales and use tax savings opportunities.
    • Formulate tax planning strategies
    • Perform sales / use tax reviews
    • Research pending, new and current property tax legislation and statutes

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance;
    •  CPA or CMI preferred.
    • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with sales tax consulting, preferably with a Top 10 National firm or a large Regional firm including demonstrated business development skills within that environment.
    • Excellent negotiation skills, organizational, project management and communication skills including a proven record of effectively managing a meaningful and profitable book of business
