    Position Summary

     

    This Staff will work primarily work on sales and use tax compliance engagements and assist on various state and local tax projects for the various service lines within SALT as available.   The candidate should possess the ability to develop strong technical skills. This position is responsible working with clients on sales and use tax matters and local tax matters including preparation and technical review of sales and use tax returns and assistance in client management and practice development activities.  This candidate will also assist in growing Crowe's SALT practice and being actively involved in the community. The candidate must exhibit a professional demeanor and be able to develop business relationships with clients.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA, MST or JD is a plus but not required.
    • 1 - 4 years tax experience in public accounting with a state and local tax focus is a plus.
    • Must be qualified to sit for the CPA or possess a CPA.
    • Sales and use tax consulting and compliance experience is a plus.
    • Must possess strong research and writing skills and possess strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
    • Must be willing to work overtime during busy season and as required.
    • Demonstrated ability and desire to perform in a high-energy, fast paced environment.
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, RIA Go-System software, CCH and RIA Checkpoint desired.
    • An understanding of income tax, property tax, and credits and incentives is a plus.
