    Position Summary

    Location:  Lexington, KY

      

    Job Summary:

    This role will be part of our 24x7 Security Intelligence Center team and will be responsible for monitoring assigned clients’ environment for potential security threats and incidents. This includes identifying, analyzing, investigating and supporting remediation recommendations. This role will work closely with other teams as part of the overall incident management process. 

     

    In addition, this role will: 

    • Monitor connectivity, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), backup logs, and other systems as requested by Crowe and Clients.
    • Open cases and update services tickets.
    • Provide timely escalation of cases to Client and/or Analyst personnel.
    • Participate in threat, incident, and security research that results in process and rule improvement based on changing factors in InfoSec.
    • Assist in the development of threat intel, operational processes and automated tools focused on reducing false positives within our Clients’ environments.
    • Participate and complete in daily shift change meetings and other team transitions, as required.

    Qualifications

     

    Educational and Professional Credentials: 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security or related field is required.
    • 2-4 years of experience in an operations or engineering role within an information security operations role is required.
    • Experience as a security analyst, technical and/or business disciplines is preferred.
    • Certification such as CISSP or CCNP, or willingness to obtain certification is strongly preferred.

    • Be a self-starter, possess strong time management skills and has the ability to multitask.
    • Inquisitive nature; has a thirst for knowledge.
    • A problem solver and someone who can think "outside of the box". 
    • Detail-focused, with the ability to think creatively and encourage thought in others.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Works well independently and within a group. 
    • Strong sense of integrity, and identifies with Crowe's mission.
    • Basic scripting and programming skills utilizing Python, Go, PowerShell or similar languages.
    • Possesses advanced knowledge of Linux admin skills and managed tools such as Ansible, Salt, and Puppet.

    Risk Consulting is organized by both industry specializations (financial services, healthcare, public sector, GRC Technologies Integration and emerging industries) and solutions (anti-money laundering, regulatory and compliance, internal audit, cybersecurity, emerging global solutions, GRC Technologies and third party risk).
