    Position Summary

    A national accounting firm seeks an entry-level bookkeeping and administrative support professional to join the New-York office based Multi Family Office & Business Back Office team within the Firm’s private client group. The candidate will be part of a fast growing team committed to produce high-quality client experiences and deliverables for domestic and international families and businesses.


    This position involves day-to day accounting for clients, acting with high level of privacy and confidentiality. The candidate will be provided with training and a position of growth within a global back office and high-net-worth family office support structure, serving high-net-worth individuals and the businesses they own from a platform maintained by the firm.


    Key Responsibilities

    Job functions comprise accounts payable including:

    • reviewing, coding and paying invoices and reimbursement expenses
    • cash receipts and cash flow monitoring
    • bank reconciliations
    • general ledger and subsidiary ledgers maintenance
    • maintenance of sound client electronic books and records to support receipts and disbursements
    • preparing and maintaining reporting and analyses
    • liaison between clients and vendors or other third parties

    This role also offers growth opportunities to work with businesses and families in connection with providing high-quality deliverables.


    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting required
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related courses and certifications in accounting and bookkeeping is preferred
    • HS diploma plus a minimum of four years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and accounting is required.
    • QuickBooks skills are required
    • Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) are required
    • Concur experience is a plus
    • Experience with payroll processing a plus.

    Other Required Skills

    The candidate must have great time management skills, must be highly organized and detailed oriented and have excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
